MY therapeutic approach

I offer you a space to safely explore, discover and connect to yourself and others through a trusted therapeutic relationship.

I am a sensitive and intuitive person and would work with you in creating a therapeutic relationship based on trust and empathy, to allow you to talk about anything that may come up for you. I will support you to reflect on your experiences and grow your own self-awareness.

This can be done through recognising patterns of relating and considering your feelings, checking out the beliefs you hold, exploring your worldview and looking at the way you live and would like to live. I believe you already have what you need within and will be there to help you rediscover your inner resources and sense of autonomy.

I'm a Humanistic counsellor working in Mid-Sussex and Brighton & Hove. I have experience working with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief/loss, stress, burnout, abuse, relationship issues and more.

I am LGBTQ+ allied and welcome clients of all genders, ethnicities, sexualities, faiths, backgrounds and abilities. I have experience working with neuro-diverse clients and sex workers. I am interested in how I can work best with you and would endeavour to accommodate any preferences you have.

I completed my counselling training in Brighton where I qualified with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2020. I worked as a support group facilitator and counsellor with Carers Support West Sussex for a number of years prior to starting my private practice. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP) to ensure ethical and safe practice and professionals standards.

The way I work is to provide you with a calm, safe space to feel heard as the unique individual you are, free from judgement. I recognise the courage it takes to begin counselling and have much respect for your personal experience.
